Fighting between two rival Nyatura wings was reported this Sunday, April 9, 2023 in Buganda, in the notability of Kabalekasha, village of Bishange, Bahunde Kingdom in Masisi territory in North Kivu.
The news is delivered by the president of the local youth counselor of this part of the Mupfuni Shanga groupment. Abishe Shabirera, indicates that, these clashes launched since early in the morning between the Nyatura elements of Colonel Nayabo and those of Colonel Ossama.
“Since 5:30 AM. this Sunday April 09, 2023, our sources have indicated a clash between 2 Nyatura self-defense groups, including those of Colonel Nayabo and Ossama in the Kabalekasha notability, precisely in Buganda, in the village of Bishange Luzirantaka”, reports Abishe Shabirera.
Several other independent sources speak of the massive displacement of populations from Buganda and neighboring villages towards the city of Bitonga. The situation seems to calm down at the beginning of the afternoon of this Sunday, add our sources.
