We have just learned that the fighters of the March 23 Movement (M23) who occupied the city of Kitshanga in the territory of Masisi in North Kivu, withdrew from this agglomeration on the night of Sunday, April 09, 2023.
This information is also relayed by our colleagues from the online media Tazama RDC through his twitter account.
“The elements of the M23 who were still in Kitshanga and other positions overlooking the city withdrew last Sunday night around 10 p.m. These rebels are still in Bishusha, Bwiza but it’s a matter of hours if not of days informs our source,” writes this online media.
This information is also confirmed by other independent sources, which indicate that the withdrawal of the M23 is effective in several villages of the Bashali kingdom.
