The evaluation of the joint operations FARDC-UPDF underway in the territorie of Beni in the province of North Kivu is closed this thursday, April 06 2023.
This evaluative meeting was attended the two chiefs of general staff, including Lt Gen Christian showewe of the FARDC and Wilson Mbasu Masudi of the Ugandan army UPDF.
After observation and presentation of the report, the military governor of the North Kivu province, Lt Gen Constant Ndima Kongba, says that he is satisfied with the progress of these operations carried out by these two armies in coalition against the ADF.
“You know we are in joint operations of the two armies FARDC and UPDF, in front of the worrying security situation that our province is going through, precisely in the territory of Beni, with regard to this joint operations here in the far north, today we are satisfied with the results of these operations, several strongholds of the terrorist enemies ADF/MTM have been dementeled and several leaders among them neutralized.”
This military authority reassured that new measures will be taken to definitively dequat these enemies of peace.
“…there are more than 16 months that the ADF has not set foot, which means that we must also change the mode of action, to see where the group is, where it is least so that we can overcome these terrorists,” concluded Lt Gen Ndima Kongba.
Remember that the Ugandan army is in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, since November 30, 2021, to coalesce with the FARDC in fact to completely destroy the ADF rebels.
