Despite the announcement of the withdrawal of elements of the March 23 movement commonly known as M23, a reinforcement of men in Rwandan uniform is visible in several corners of Nyiragongo territory.
The fields of peaceful citizens are cultivated by Rwandan subjects, the trees are cut to make embers and also repetitive incursions of criminals reported in this area, the recent cases date from April 4th and 5th in Buhumba and Kibumba.
It was Mambo Kawaya, coordinator of civil society in this part of North Kivu, who alerted on Thursday, April 6th.
“The registration of all the soldiers who have stayed at home and who are on the front lines would be a solution to avoid infiltrators,” proposes this civil society activist who also asks the Congolese government to proceed with the identification of all the policemen from Rusthuru and Masisi.
It should be noted that insecurity continues to grow in Nyiragongo and its good part which remains under occupation of the M23.
